For another great Fall Getaway, how about a trip to Old Deerfield, Massachusetts?  This quaint town has been preserved for all time with many historic homes available for viewing along with a great museum complete with a wonderful museum store.  Historic Deerfield is a treasure for all times and clearly a must see in Western Massachusetts. 

One of the Fall highlights of this area is the Annual Old Deerfield Christmas Sample Craft Fair, which this year will be held on Friday, November 19^th at the Eastern States Exposition Grounds, in nearby West Springfield, MA.  This Festival is ranked as one of New England’s top traditional craft fairs. Expect to see festive booths displaying a full range of juried crafts with 9,000 attendees expected.

Christmas in Maine is a very special thing, and at the top of the list of things to do and see is the Camden Christmas by the Sea.  This is the 24^th Annual Christmas Festival, a weekend celebration of the holiday season. Shopping, musical entertainment, a parade, a community tree-lighting ceremony, horse-drawn wagon rides, and more.  One of the highlights of this Fest is the Holiday House Inn Tour.   This fantastic weekend includes Holiday sales and dining specials, photos and children’s story hour with Santa (who arrives by boat!). December 3, 2010 – 12:00pm – December 5, 2010 – 6:00pm, sponsored by the Camden-Rockport-Lincolnville Chamber of Commerce.
